6月15日 Singapore 6 - 9 juneIf it is diversity you want Singapore is the place to get it. the scenery, buldings and people are different depending on which place you visit. The one thing that ties them together is that they are beautifully built, well kept and the people are all very friendly.
The cleanlyness of the place hits you straight away when you arrive. the airport is like a hotel and the subway or MRT (MASS RAPID TRANSPORT) is spotless.
We started our travels at 7, the evening we arrived, by walking around Clarke Quay and Boat Quay. This looked better in the night lights and is the heart of the action at night. We got a bite to eat and only ONE beer (really) before heading back to the hotel.
The next morning we walked around Little India which is in the north of the city and right beside our hotel. It is nice but in my view nothing special. from there we walked south through Fort Canning Park which was amazing. It had spice gardens walks and real coconuts but i wasnt allowed to take one ;-(
From there we continued south to China Town which was class.
that night we headed out of the city to the zoo for a night safari and food. It was good but could have been better without the annoying presenter of the show after the safari (what an annoying voice aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh).
The next day we walked around the port area of the city which is the heart of the business sector. the buildings here are hard to put into words or even photo but we tried. Among the attractions here were THE FOUNTAIN OF WEALTH, THE LION THING, THE CONCERT HALL and RAFFELS HOTEL (where we got the famous Singapore Sling).
From there we went to Orchard Road which is the heart of shopping. Valerie enjoyed this part more than me but i managed to control the spending ;-)
From there we headed back to the hotel for our bags and out to the airport to head to Darwin. 4月25日 Australia, New-Zealand, ThailandDepart 6th of june
Itinerary : Singapore - Darwin - Cairns - Brisbanne - Auckland - Christchurch - Sydney - Bangkok - London - Dinard - Dublin
